Wellness Exams and Preventative Care

Wellness care is our top priority at Prairie Creek Pet Hospital. We offer preventive services such as pet exam for your dog or cat, pet dental care and regular examinations. Regular examinations are your pet's opportunity to have us rule out any issues that may not be obvious in your everyday setting. We are proud of our in-house diagnostics including blood tests and blood pressure measurement. Our ability to test everything on-site as well as provide treatment when necessary makes pet care convenient for everyone. 

At your pet's regular appointment we will administer any vaccinations they may be due for as well as screen for parasitic concerns including heartworm testing. 

Pet Surgery

If your pet experiences a critical care situation, we will be ready to examine and meet your pet's surgical needs. Our animal hospital will perform blood pressure measurement, urinalysis, ultrasound or radiology testing if your pet's condition warrants this testing.  Some of the surgeries we offer include:

Senior Pet Care

Is your senior cat or dog reaching their golden years? Certain health concerns affect senior pets that our caring veterinarian wants to help prevent. We will provide glaucoma screening, electrocardiogram when a heart concern may be suspected, and urinalysis to rule out bladder and kidney issues, ultrasound and pet surgery when necessary. 

Pet Dental Care

Yes, your pets require dental like just like you and your family. During a pet dental care visit we screen for plaque and gingivitis as well as look for any abscesses or concerns that may be taking place below the gum line. We will provide your pet with a dental cleaning as well. 

Emergency & Urgent Care

We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty six days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Emergencies may include accidental ingestion of rat poison, car accidents, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that you’re pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately!

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, our veterinarians will work best to see your when available.
